For girls, clothing seems to be the one thing that they can always argue over. Sisters fight over who can wear what, mothers and daughters argue over what is appropriate or isn't, friends argue over who would have the audacity to buy the same dress and wear it to the same dance. Growing up, I can rarely remember an arguement with my sisters over clothing. My younger sister was way too young for me to fit into her clothing, and though I probably could have fit into my older sisters clothing, it wasn't until 3 years later that I actually got the chance to wear it. Let me just tell you...it often wasn't by choice. That was the joy of hand-me-downs...if it fit, you had to wear it, regardless of the fact that it was completely out of style or showed well beyond obvious signs of wear and tear. Taking notes from my childhood, I pay special attention to what my girls are photographed in now. If one were to browse through my school photos, you will see the same blouse/sweater vest combo in my school pictures as you will find on my sister in her school pictures *three years earlier!* Hand-me-downs are not great for school picture day, mom! Gearing up for back to school, I took the girls to Old Navy to take advantage of their uniform sale. I couldn't help but laugh as I listened to the 2 of them discuss clothing. The conversation went a little like this...
Emma: That is aaaadorable, Grace!
Grace: I know, and you can wear it when you start school because everyone has to dress the same.
Emma: Yeah, you have to wear a reuniform.
Grace: It's called a uniform...and you're only in preschool so you can wear real clothes.
Emma: But you'll share with me when I'm in kindergarten?
Grace: Sure, because we all get to wear the same thing.
I love the fact that my diva will have limited options for what she is wearing in the morning. If only the teenage years can run this smoothly with no arguments over clothing. Did you ever fight with siblings/parents over clothes? What makes girls so psychoticly possessive over something as simple as a shirt?!

The joys of being an only girl, I suppose :)
Since my sister and I were 14 months apart, we often shared all of our clothes (except pants and shoes since I'm much taller and have much bigger feet). There were plenty of arguments about who got to wear something on a particular day. Going off to college opened up another can of worms, because I cleared out our closet, and my sister had to start over!
