Book #2
I just finished reading, "The Friday Night Knitting Club" by Kate Jacobs, and it turned out to be a great, rather quick, read. It is a relatable novel that compares friendships and misunderstandings to the art of knitting. Sometimes you have to accept that a stitch isn't right and just forge ahead...it adds character. Othertimes you need to go back and tear out your stitches and fix them so that things end up alright in the end. I have to admit, I am usually more interested in finishing a book for the sense of accomplishment that it evokes moreso than the feelings it conjures up, but in this case, it brought me to tears. I am looking forward to reading the sequel, "Knit two" that was released in November. I've heard it's not as good, but the character development in the first novel has me interested for more.
