Thinking about my New Years Resolutions this year has left me thinking about the craziness of the last year and wondering what excitement this new year will bring. This past year we were blessed beyond belief with tons of fun and change. A little recap of our year...we found out we were having a third GIRL. We bid farewell to my grandma. I received the Outstanding Educator award for our district and the Xcellence in Teaching award from my school that reminded me that I am doing the job I am supposed to be doing. I left a job I loved only to stay home and do a job I love even more.We visited and welcomed new babies Aubrey M, Hadley, Colin, Torie, Drew, Alex, Allison, Sydney, Brandt, Ann Marie, Aubrey G, Evelyn...the list goes on, (I figured I'd list one for every month)...we are in a baby boom kind of year apparently. Grace started basketball, continued soccer, joined adventure guides, and started kindergarden. Emma started dance, found a love of cooking, learned how to roller skate and began preschool at a new school. Norah joined our family, was baptized, and pretty much captured our hearts every moment of the day. Mark traveled to the east coast. We took the girls boating/tubing for the first time. We re-roofed, re-sided, and re-guttered the house. We framed and drywalled the basement and started painting. We took trips to Adventureland and Blank Park Zoo, the Miller family reunion, Sun Valley Lake, Lake Michigan, and Grizzly Jacks (sorry KC we wanted to come but couldn't brave it with a one week old. We squeezed in a few games (Kernals, Iowa, Saints, etc) and some barbecues with friends. We found out we are having a fifth NIECE! We spent lots of time with family and friends, some swim lessons, lots of trips to the park and just...life. It amazes me daily at what can be done in a short 365 days. Each year I look back and think it just can't get any better...but it always does. Here's to a wonderful 2012.
