Projects

Last weekend with all the rain we had a great excuse to stay home. It was so awesome as it seems as though we have been gone all the time lately. Needless-to-say, the girls had some much needed play time with their toys and their list of projects that they wanted to complete finally got started.

Project #1 - a milk jug skeleton. The girls have been saving milk jugs for what seems like forever to create this bony beauty. They had a great time cutting and assembling to make their life-size friend.

Project #2 - Adventure guide awards. Mark is the acting "chief" for Grace's adventure guide troop. With their campout this weekend, these 2 spent quite a bit of their weekend creating awards for competition winners.

They made arrowheads out of leather for the archery winners...

And wooden golf balls for the winners of mini-golf.
Project #3 - pumpkin carving. Everyone got a chance to pick out a pumpkin on Monday so let the carving begin. We traced our patterns and started carving, but haven't finished yet...more details on the annual Richmond pumpkin carving contest to come.

Mark and the girls finished carving one pumpkin for the campout this weekend. I prefer the friendly-type pumpkins, but good carving none-the-less.
