There is just something about family that makes any day fun. Every family comes with its share of challenges (our main one being our inability to make any decisions in a quick and decisive manner...it's so annoying). However, every time that we get together it is so much fun. The Fourth of July has become completely predictable. Most people might not find that predictablity appealing, but for me, it's awesome. Each Fourth, I know exactly what food/drinks everyone will be bring, what activities everyone will navigate to after lunch, and what conversations each "group" will be having. It makes the day relaxing and enjoyable. These people are so much fun!

I am more and more amazed by how close our family is becoming. I love that we all live in the state now. I love that there are becoming more and more reasons for us to all see each other. I love that the more kids that are born, the more chaos there is. And I love how in the midst of all the chaos everyone has become so laid back. A picture is worth a thousand words, right!?

I am in awe of how much he puts up with from his grandchildren. This one I would have never predicted!
To add to the unpredictability, each year as we watch the fireworks my mom vocalizes her every thought on which fireworks are the prettiest, biggest, most colorful...you name it. If there are no words to describe it, she fills the void with oooo's and ahhhhh's. She sits in the same spot each year and I believe that people choose their spots accordingly, to either hear or ignore the commentary! :) I always sit on the porch swing and laugh at her comments (sorry, mom). This year, however, I couldn't have loved it more. She sat with Norah and the two of them oooo'ed and ahhh'ed together. It was so cute to hear Norah mimick everything she said. Each time there was a new firework you could hear them discuss it's color, shape and if it was their new "favorite." I'm so thankful my kiddos have such awesome grandparents! It may have been my favorite, and most memorable part to this year's celebration.
