Mid-November we took our Richmond family vacation. We changed things up a bit this year and headed to Des Moines instead of the usual Grizzly Jacks. We started at Blank Park Zoo, one of our favorites. We scored the most beautiful weather for it being November. Though a lot of our favorite exhibits were off for the winter, it was neat to see the zoo at a different time of year.
