Since I talked my sister into running a half marathon with me last year, she talked me into running one this year. Since the girls were at the daddy/daughter campout for the weekend, it was perfect timing to have 24 hours away for a little "adult" girl time. With over 10,000 runners, a beautiful and flat course, and a great cheering section it made for a really fun run. We headed out Saturday afternoon with my mom and sisters, hit the registration, and then headed to Skip's for some FABULOUS carb loading and laughs. We attempted to turn in early for the night to get ready for the race the next day, but with a case of the giggles, a smoke detector incident, and a few other shenanigans it didn't work so well.
Nothing like a brisk October morning to get your heart pumping. The temps when we started 46F.
Looking just as refreshed after as before?!
