Sweet as can BEE.

Miss Emma wanted a bumblebee art party for her 6th birthday. As much as I love that they get creative with these themed parties, I have to say that I'm nervous in how their creativity has far surpassed my own... and my cake making abilities! :) Since I couldn't quite stomach the idea of a bunch of kindergartners running around my house with paint, we decided on a "Bee Creative" birthday and celebrated with a painting party at my school.  Ever since Grace painted a few canvases for her bedroom, Emma has wanted to paint one for her room. I called in some friends from school to help out (shout out to my associate principal and art teacher) and we had a painting party with Emma's entire class. With a special visit from Bernie (our school mascot) and some students that provided a little face painting, there seemed to be a surprise around every corner. Emma had a great time celebrating with all her friends!

Bumblebee cake pops for a delicious sweet treat.

A few had fears of Bernie, but the brave ones posed for a photo.

Face painting is always a hit!

Little Picassos hard at work on their canvases.
