Excited nervousness filled our house Tuesday morning as we prepared the girls for their first day of the 2014-2015 school year. It seems so strange to open their closets to find red, blue, and white dress code shirts again and know we are back into another school year. We have tried to be pro-active and start routines that will set everyone up for success.
Emma's face cracked me up all morning. This girl always has a smile on her face, but she was BEAMING on Tuesday. When we went for supply drop off, they were a desk short (it was getting fixed) so Emma agreed to wait until Tuesday to get her stuff settled. As a reward, she got to pick which friends she wanted to sit by so she was excited to walk in on Tuesday and see a desk with her name on it right by all of her friends!
Though she's not looking forward to the homework, Grace was ready to be reunited with her friends again. What luck to sit right next to her best friend in the front row! She also is really excited to have the whole playground to herself now that she's a big 3rd grader.
Little Miss started in her new room on Tueday also. She was happy to walk in and see some other familiar faces that moved up as well. We opted out of 3 year old preschool for her so she has a pretty posh life hanging out in room 3A!
I'm going to miss these girls during the day, but love that they are all set for a successful school year ahead!
