Every other year the last weekend in July is spent at the Richmond Reunion in Centerville. It is a great time to catch up with family since they travel from Colorado, Kansas, Illinois, etc., so it's a weekend we don't want to miss. It seemed a little empty this year as the larger than life presence of a few that have passed on was definitely noticed, but it was fun none-the-less.
Fun with Grandma and Grandpa.
Grace really like being "in-charge" of Lydia this year.
Emma and Grandma sneaking in a dip in the pool.
Grace was incredibly helpful keeping an eye on the little ones at the park.
The Cream Can lunch was delicious as always.
At the reunion Norah got her first *hopefully only* set of stitches. We were in a suite and as we folded up the hide-a-bed to make a little more room, her tiny little finger made its way between the metal, cutting it to the bone. She was so brave and barely cried at all. We took her to the ER to get stitched up and she only cried when they gave her a shot to numb her finger. Then she sat there and watched as they stitched her up. Her main concern was getting out of the hospital still holding the cute little bear they gave her. She was relieved when they told her that "Boo-Boo" as she so rightly named him, was going to be a forever addition to our household and she didn't have to give him back. Not to mention the yummy Popsicle they gave her when she was finished. The Centerville ER really knows how to treat a girl.
