1. Last week I walked into the pantry to find a gallon of milk on the shelf, out of curiosity I opened the fridge where I found the cereal making friends with all its new ice box pals. This sums up the chaos of our morning routine perfectly.
2. I honestly can't tell you how many times in the last week the dog actually got fed...or perhaps fed twice. We're trying our best Daisy.
3. We have to pack both jerseys for soccer games because there is a 50/50 chance that we are wearing the wrong color. Dates run together...is it the 13th? the 20th? All I know is it's a Saturday...we're doing well to just show up on time.

4. The words, "Why is mommy feeding us Daisy poop?" were uttered from Norah to Mark the other night at dinner. I am going to plead that the worse it looks, the better it tastes...because it was some of the most delicious marinated pork I've ever tasted.
5. I lost my patience with my child for not being able to do 1st grade math. Not until she explained to me that it was actually her sister's math book and she was just trying to challenge herself to learn more did I feel like a complete failure as a mother.
6. I made it through 2 hours of my day on Monday with my shirt wrong-side out and no one bothered to tell me.
Shall I go on? So.many.failures. Last week was rough, but I look back at all of them now and they make me laugh. The chaos is all-consuming at times. I get home at the end of the day and feel incapable of making even one more decision or answering just one more question. However, once the day is over, the girls are asleep and the quiet has settled in, for one brief, shining moment, I look back on the day and wouldn't have changed a thing about it. For that reason, I'll keep the chaos.
