Steffen 1/8 Scale Railroad

Sunday afternoon we went "All Aboard" the Milwaukee Railway. On the outskirts of Manchester is the most incredible 1/8 scale railroad. The railroad has about 1700 feet of track and is located on the original right-of-way of the Milwaukee Road branch line built in 1873. A kit built locomotive pulls a few riding cars around the most immaculate flower gardens, down the main line and through a 60 foot tunnel. The conductor is one of the most talented and personable men you will ever meet.
Emma liked sitting up front and asking all of the questions. She really like the tunnel!

Mr. Steffen was an incredible conductor, full of information and very patient with little listeners.

Check out this cute little bridge and beautiful gardens.

Grace and Norah liked sitting up front as well!

Learning all about the railroad and seeing all the coal.
