The Washington Co. Fair is one of my favorite fairs around. Not only because my nieces are a part of it, but also because of all it has to offer. For a county fair, it does it up right. It doesn't offer the big-name grandstand performances that other fairs advertise, but as far as the quintessential small-town fair, it has it all.
Spending time with my family still can't be beat.
The rodeo Tuesday night was fun to watch. Emma thought about trying her hand at mutton bustin' but after watching kids come out of the ring crying she made a smart choice. The rodeo started with juniors and it was shocking to see kids as young as 6 bull riding!
Wednesday morning we were up bright and early for the swine show. Jillian and Anna did a great job showing!
Wednesday was also kids day. After the swine show we indulged in pony rides, games, crafts, and lots of treats.
In the afternoon we helped Jillian get "Missy" ready for the bucket bottle calf show. Elley and Norah really liked brushing her and making her shine.
We snuck in a little face painting before the show.
After a great day at the fair we finished off at dinner to celebrate Jillian's birthday. Can't believe she turned 15 already!!
