Home sweet home

We arrived home, (started our first of many loads of laundry) and Emma didn't waste any time checking in on her garden. Our veggies were busy while we were away. We came back to bountiful broccoli and so many tomatoes we had to add an extra stake to hold them up! The hot weather has been enjoyed by our greens and we couldn't be happier. She and Mark picked what they could and then the next day (between slides down the slip n slide to stay cool) they spent a few hours weeding and giving a little extra TLC to help our yummy produce thrive. This is the second year for Emma's garden and her interest in gardening hasn't slowed. She puts all her time and energy into making sure we have great, fresh produce for dinner. She was sad when we ran out of room for all that she wanted to plant, but this year we should be able to enjoy; sweet corn, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers and tomatoes.
