Supply drop off

I'm not sure where to even begin to talk about how much I love our girls' school. Though the commute is less than desirable, there is no doubt that its worth every second. For the past few weeks the girls have been counting down the days in anticipation for the first day of school. They have missed it. From their friends, to their teachers, to the challenges it puts forth; they have been craving every bit of it. Though their mean-ole-mom made them do reading and math each day and they worked on quite a few science projects over the summer (ask Emma about her solar powered car - it's awesome) they still missed the classroom. I feel so thankful that my sadness about school comes from my children running in the door and not looking back to say goodbye. They all three went in confident, excited, and ready...I don't take for granted that it isn't that way for everyone. Prayers to the kiddos that walk in anxious at what the day may bring...to the parents that have to peel their children off their legs and walk away from them feeling as if they have deserted them...to the teachers that act as mom or dad for the day, pouring out all of their love to ensure each kid has a smooth transition.

Mrs. Kane has had all three of the girls for Kindergarten now. We couldn't feel luckier!

Mrs. Stucker has also been with all three bouncing between K/2.

With Emma's large class, teachers have shifted to support the load. We were so thrilled to hear Mrs. Adams was going to jump down to 2nd grade last year to help out, and even more thrilled to hear she was headed back to her favorite grade, so Emma had the chance of having her 2 years in a row. What a treat!

Grace's teacher, Mrs. Freeman, also shifted from 4th grade to 5th grade this year. She was such a great fit for Grace last year, we can't wait to see what lies ahead this school year!
