Red ribbon week

I kind of hate Red Ribbon week as it is such a pain to make sure that we are organized enough to wear the right "dress up" attire on the right day. Most days we are doing well just to have shoes on everyone's feet when we walk out the door. However, the girls love breaking out of dress code and they were pretty sure their long awaited desire to make tie-dye shirts was upon us since Thursday's theme is "Don't get "Tied" down with drugs." For the record, I also hate tie-dye. The look of it, the mess of it...everything about it combats my type-A personality. But who am I to withhold this fun messy project from the girls...tie-dye shirts -here we come!
Norah has a prized 'marble' she has been carrying around for weeks. Don't ask...I have no idea where this obsession came from. However, she was thrilled when it contributed to the design of her t-shirt.

We chose to do the spray instead of the dip so that they could do their tie-dye all on their own.

Grace's favorite part was definitely un-banding her shirt to see her final design.
