Poor Hazel, she went in and got fixed last week and when I went to pick her up the receptionist told me that they don't usually have to send dogs home with a cone...but Hazel broke the mold. As much as we were hoping this little surgery would help calm her a bit and welcome her to the 'adult' dog world, we came home with the same crazy Hazel we dropped off. Only she didn't appreciate her cone of shame or the fact that we wouldn't be able to take it off of her for 3 whole days.
We were anticipating a quiet few days of her feeling a bit sore, but nope. Not our Hazel. She promptly came home, tried eating everything in sight and tried jumping on all of the furniture. She does have the freshest puppy breath though as she worked her way into Emma's backpack and chased Emma's homework with a few candy canes. I should have known she was being too quiet.
