Day 14 - Gulf Shores

Well, we’ve gone 14 days and the rain hasn’t altered our plans aside from an hour of playing games instead of swimming at the beach in Galveston. Considering we arrived during a tropical storm, we couldn’t be more pleased that we woke up to rain and it once again didn’t have any effect on our plans. We had checked out all but 1 pool that we were saving ‘just in case’ and today we finally got to use it. The rain gave us a great excuse to swim at the “dome” (indoor) pool today and relax in the huge hot tub. We had a slow relaxing morning, played catch in the pool, dove for rings, met some friends and relaxed.
Now I know why they called it the "Dome" pool.
Swimming laps with her trusty goggles.

By the time we were ready to leave the rain had passed so we grabbed a quick lunch and headed to the beach for the afternoon.
They'll do anything to ruin a photo opp.
Wonder where they get it?!

It was a little breezier today so the waves were bigger today which the little girls loved. Grace and I took a more relaxed approach to the day and decided to enjoy lounging on the beach. We dipped in the water when we got hot, but decided we were too lazy to jump waves and play so we had a relaxing afternoon catnapping in the sun while Mark and the littles enjoyed the waves.
Perfect day for napping in the sun!

Emma was conflicted between swimming or dancing today and was seriously the cutest thing ever just loving the carefree lifestyle of the beach.
Reeling in a BIG fish!
Turns out it may have been a mermaid...
Norah could spend endless hours building in the sand.

The clouds dripped a few little sprinkles and we wondered if it was going to start to rain so since it was almost dinner time we packed up and headed in. We didn’t make it far before we decided it was our last day on the coast so we had better take one last dip in our favorite pool. We swam until our tummies told us our time at the Gulf couldn’t last forever.

All fun now...daddy can't catch anyone!

We went in, had a little dinner and figured we’d call it a day since the rain started to roll in. While the girls showered, I figured the rain was a good excuse to find the fitness center and get a little run in while I was waiting to get cleaned up. By the time I finished Mark and the girls were all cleaned up and the shower was calling my name. I cleaned up and snuggled up with them for a movie night in Emma’s bed since she had the biggest TV. J We tucked the girls in and Mark and I enjoyed a few fruity beverages to cheers to our fantastic vacation before we start heading back inland tomorrow.
