Cookies

Cookie exchanges. Uf. I get invited to a cookie exchange each year and I always RSVP no. Nothing against the hosts, but the timing is always hard and I can count zero times where it is beneficial for me to have cookies in my house. They will get eaten. All of them. By me. This year though, I have girls who love to bake and are old enough that, with or without my help, want to make beautiful treats for their family and friends. That is a cause I can get behind. Sharing a little love through baked goods is an affordable and heartwarming way for my girls to be able to show their friends how grateful they are for their friendship. Cookie exchange, here we come!

We chose Grinch cookies this year as we love the reminder that even the grinchiest of hearts have the ability to grow. We hope that if our cookies found your doorstep on a particularly bad day, you felt the love poured into them.
Emma spent the day making Grinch cookies and hot cocoa cookies. Grace spent her time in the kitchen making red velvet sandwich cookies. Norah prefers the role of taste-tester so she mysteriously avoided the kitchen all day until cookies were cooled and it was time to test. Amazing how that happens!
