We closed down our running season with the Reindeer Run in Hiawatha on Saturday. This first annual 5k raised funds for more drinking fountains in the City Parks and given that my running path frequents many of these parks and fountains, it seemed like a great cause to get behind.
It was a beautiful 40 degrees at the start of the race and the route happened to run right by a house with the cutest 3 girls I know, so how could we not sign up! They supplied lots of support and high fives to get us to a speedy finish so we could get to Norah's basketball game on time. We even had time for some yummy hot chocolate, cookies and pictures with Santa.
Happy Holla Days! Instead of race bibs and shoe chips, participants got an entry stocking hat! They matched perfectly with our beautiful Christmas sweaters. :) With the jingle bells on Jenisa's sweater, everyone could even hear us coming.
Thanks, #WillPower for an amazing year of races. Can't wait to calculate the mileage that these bracelets have covered this year!
