Live Healthy Iowa 5k

Saturday morning we woke up to 30 mph winds, rain, and freezing temperatures. What better thing to do than run a 5k! The Live Healthy Iowa 5k runs in our neighborhood so I have a hard time not signing up for this race each year even though I know each year it is a cold one. This year Grace even braved the cold temps and winds. She did a great job digging deep through some nasty headwinds to sprint to the finish and end strong. I was so proud of her!

Races are always more fun with family!

Ready for the start gun...
Grace's friend Ava is in running club with us at school so it was fun to run with friends!
Half way point headed back into the wind...

So proud of this girl for finishing strong!

Time for Norah's race. She took on the 1k with her friend Brooklyn.

Thankful that the rain held off for her as she quickly finished her race!

She did a great job in her first race of the year!

Brave finisher...time to head home and find some warmth!
