Day 11

Today I am thankful for veterans past, present and future. Their sacrifices are amazing to me. I love looking back through my grandpas old photos wondering what life was like for him and wishing I would have asked more questions about his life when I had the opportunity. I am in awe as I watch friends saying goodbye time after time to their spouses and admire the strength they have to let their loved one go and "hold down the fort" at home. I am saddened watching friends miss their children's firsts, their birthday parties, their school activities as they sacrifice so much so that I don't miss these things with my family. I am thankful for all of our veterans and my continued prayers for their health, happiness, and safety.
