Day 10

Today I'm thankful for where we live. Every place has crime, violence, etc., but here I never fear it. This city is full of good people, lots of children, and great schools. Today Norah and I took a trip to Sams to grab some dog food. While we were perusing the brands, a nice man came up and offered to lift it into my cart for me once I decided what I wanted...it was so kind. While I was there, I decided to check out the price of bulk diapers (Lord knows buying in bulk is never a problem with diapers!). An elderly couple stopped to ask what kind of diapers they should get for their great granddaughter and as it so happened the wifes name was Nora so she and Norah became fast friends...it was so sweet. After 15 minutes of cooing over Norah and sharing our coincidences (they were from a small town close to my hometown) we headed to the check out. Norah started to get a little impatient and the gentleman in front of me offered to let me go ahead of him in line...it was so thoughtful. Once we checked out and got to the parking lot, an employee saw me pull my cart up to the car to unload and came over and offered to take my cart back for me. I'm a firm believer in "paying it forward" and I'd like to think that the people who helped me today had a kindness passed on to them earlier in the day. I'm thankful that there are so many kind people who are willing to do nice things for others. As for me...I'm off to hopefully pay it forward!
