New month, new challenge

After spending the last month focusing on "thirty days of thanks" I decided that I like having a theme to encourage me to blog something different. Therefore, I'm taking on the "25 days of Christmas challenge" taken from: http://www.quietfish.com/
It’s twenty five days of organized, customized fun in the form of an advent calendar. Instead of buying a chocolate advent calendar, this advent calendar is filled with one Christmas-related activity everyday throughout the month of December; a fun task, seasonal event, or craft. No chocolate, no shopping, and no cheap gifts — just family time.
To join the fun, first, make an advent calendar (I just used paper scraps, paper bags and stickers). Next, come up with 25 fun activities that the whole family can enjoy (I slid tags into each pocket so they could be switched around if there are scheduling conflicts).  Then, there is the challenge part … take a photo of your advent activity every day and post it. Here is our advent calendar.

Each morning the girls will grab out a tag and hang it on the tree so they can eagerly await doing a fun-filled activity each night.
We started tonight when our mischievous elf left the first tag on their tree. The girls had a great time searching the house for "Tiny" - their "elf on a shelf" Can't wait for the next 25 days!

You do more than I ever dreamed possible when the boys were young -and I didn't even work out of the home at that time!
