Birthday boy!

Each year we write a letter to the girls on their birthday, seal it up, and place it in their keepsake boxes for them to open whenever the day comes. Whether it be the day they move out, they day they get married, or just the day they decide they hate us, I like knowing that they will get a glimpse of how we felt about them as each birthday passed. So today, it only seems fair to write another birthday letter. I'll stick to an abbreviated version.

I probably don't need to mention that I'm head over heels for this guy, but today we are celebrating all 32 years of him. (Photo courtesy of Emma)

Dear Mark,

I am so thankful that 32 years ago God made me my best friend and as luck would have it, he turned out to be the best dad for our girls. You are the most considerate, selfless, positive person I know. I'm thankful for all of the laughter, all of the support and all of the memories. You find the positive in every situation, encourage me to be a better person and put up with far more than you probably ever signed on for. You overlook my inability to iron, inspire me to cook by eating EVERYTHING with a smile, and support my "sabatical" and desire for time away from work. You have once again made this past year incredibly special and fun and I thank you for putting up with our craziness and adding some to it. I wish you the happiest of birthdays and the best year to come. All our love!
