Mexico: Day 5

Sunday morning we headed out for a bike tour.

Sporting our reflective gear...at least we took off our helmets! :) The bike ride was great, the perfect amound of exercise and information. We rode through a beautiful golf course, macaw sanctuary, and ate fresh almonds right off the tree!

Our tour guide also taught us all about the making of tequila. Agave plants are everywhere, so it was awesome to hear the process of making tequila start to finish. I would have loved to tour the tequila factory!

The macaw sanctuary was incredible. We got to hold the birds, see baby crocodiles that they are raising until they are old enough to fend for themselves, and some breathtaking views of the Caribbean.

When we returned we were ready for a little R&R. We had a pool on our terrace with fountains pouring into it, making the sunbed a very soothing spot for a nap.

After a little sun we moved in to the sun huts and finished our napping and reading in the shade. It was a really rough trip!
