Thoughts on a snowy day...

Good morning! I'm blogging from the comfort of my bed this morning. It is 6:12 and about a half hour ago the call came through that we have a SNOW DAY today! Classes are cancelled, the snow is falling, the wind it howling, and I couldn't be happier. The hustle and bustle of getting everyone up and out of the door in the morning with bags packed, snow pants and boots, homework, snack, (don't forget it's red shirt day), who's the special friend today?, she's wearing my socks!...is somedays a bit overwhelming. Today, however, Mark is at the kitchen table working (work before work, crazy, right?!), Daisy is chowing down her breakfast, Peanut is still fast asleep, there are adorable little snores coming from the bottom bunk, and I just saw a little flashlight pop on in the top bunk and will in about 30 seconds be hearing the pages of Grace's next adventure start turning. Life.is.good.
