Balloon Glow

Our first week of official summer we spent getting our not-so-fun stuff out of the way. Dentist appointments for everyone was an adventure as trying to discipline a 3 year old while you have someone's hands in your mouth is always a joy. The older girls did a great job and we all passed with flying colors. Cheers to another year cavity free! The next day we headed to doctors appointments. Norah's 3 yr old checkup went well and she is at the 50th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. She passed all of her "academic" and "physical" tests and is right on track for her age. We all had to laugh when she asked the nurse if she could get a shot, and then asked if she could sit up and watch instead of laying down. She didn't make a peep, and then asked if she could have another one in her other leg...what a trooper!
Of course, we had to sneak a little fun in this week as we find a summer routine. That night we headed to one of our most favorite nights of the summer. It was a beautiful night at the Balloon Glow this year and we had fun with the Lakes and Ketels chatting and catching up with friends since we've been gone. If you have never been to the Balloon Glow before it is a must-attend event in my opinion. It is fun for all ages with great food, music, views, people watching, and friends!
