Ahh...freedom

Christmas break allows just a little extra freedom to catch up on projects, friends, and family time. When I think of how stressed out I am during the school year, I always think about the gift of holidays and summers that allow me to rejuvenate so I can head back and take on all the crazy again.
This break was spent looking for donors for our Parish Mardi Gras. I was in charge of the 3rd grade basket this year. With crafting parties, pottery painting, knitting lessons, and gift cards, hopefully this art basket will be sure to please.
I also got to catch up with friends over break. It's nice hanging out with other teachers away from school and talking fun and family instead of school and grading.

Each Christmas break we tackled a "huge" puzzle as well. I thought last years with 1000 pieces of 10 golden retrievers was bad...I'll take the dogs to the coins any day. Ugg...
