Here comes the sun...

After some lunch we headed back to the pools. Emma wanted to take a few swim lessons (how to swim on her back) so she and I headed to the deep pools while Grace, Norah and Mark headed back to the slides. We found a few new pools (2 pools and 3 hot tubs) hiding in a shaded area so we spent part of the afternoon swimming in there to avoid the sun. There’s just not enough sun screen to keep up with these girls. After shading ourselves from the hottest part of the afternoon, we headed back to the beach. The tide had gotten really high so the waves were really strong (yellow flagged) so the girls loved having so many BIG waves to jump. We stayed on the beach until about 6, headed in to clean up for dinner, and then had a little Mama Mia’s pizza!
It was fun to watch the girls run around completely free, singing and dancing today. Grace is taking in everything. There is a lot of people-watching at the beach…and she hasn’t missed a beat with questions and comments. She must be pretty sheltered…lots of questions on smoking, questionable beach attire, accents, swearing, etc.  Emma is totally oblivious, she’s far too busy running and dancing. Though she learned the word asshole today. She thinks she’s pretty hot stuff now that she knows a swear word. I wonder how long until she busts that beauty out.
Becoming quite a fish.

Trying to avoid some of the sun...our pasty white winter bodies can't keep up.

Sand Castles.

Our shell collector hard at work.
