Life's a Beach.

This morning the girls slept in a bit, which was a nice change. We had such a leisurely day, our only decisions being if we wanted to hang by the beach or the pool. Rough, right?! We headed out to the beach while the tide was low and perfected our wave jumping. It hadn’t rained or anything, but the water felt considerably colder than it did yesterday at that time. It still felt good though as the sun was strong and hot. The girls alternated between waves and sand castles and we had a great morning. Not our typical beach trip as you can’t quite ever relax bringing children to the beach (I keep worrying I’m going to lose someone under a wave). We’re getting far less reading and relaxing done in comparison to our last beach trip, sans children, however, we are burning far more calories! J
Running from the waves...I can't imagine how many miles this girl put in today running the beach.

Norah likes jumping the waves that are "her size."

This is why we're burning calories. We're going to have some toned arms after all the wave jumping and pulling the girls to the surface.

This morning we also got to see a jellyfish wash up on shore so our little scientists got to check out some more cool things about the ocean.

Mermaid Grace.

Emma loved dancing, running, twirling and tumbling her way through the day.

Leaving messages in the sand.

Mermaid Emma.

So much energy expelled on the beach this morning!

Been on a fair amount of beaches, but have never seen an entire jellyfish that washed up! Not what I expected! What an amazing trip - can't wait to see what's next!
Daisy is still doing well. I've removed 2 ticks and she's patient while I check her out daily - of course she just thinks she's getting a rub down :) She's eating & sleeping well. She says "hello and miss you all"
