Myrtle Beach SkyWheel

After a few hours in the pools (and legs like jello after walking all the stairs to the top of the waterslides) we headed in to clean up for dinner. We decided to go up to the main pier and check out “myrtle beach.” We started off riding the SkyWheel so that we could see the entire beach from above. Given that our hotel room is on one of the top floors we already have a spectacular view of the beach, but it was fun to look out and see downtown. I’m so glad we are a few minutes south of downtown…it is far less crowded, less touristy, and much quieter where we are. Downtown would be great for the 21+ crowd, but it seemed really dirty, smoky and full of neon for the family crowd. It is the beach though, so we did find a quiet little restaurant outside on the boardwalk for some dinner (shrimp kebobs) with some live music entertainment while we watched the waves come in.
Loving the views from the SkyWheel.

Check out the view below...we got really high.

Emma wouldn't release her grip from me, who knew this adventurer doesn't like heights!?

No problem for these three. Look, mom! No hands!

Dinner beach-side with my favorites. What started with an accordion player (behind us) ended with Dave Matthews beside us. (Okay...not really him, but if you didn't see him you would have thought so). They were both incredible!
