School's out for Summer!!

I can't believe another school year has come and gone! Grace conquered cursive, multiplication, division, and is tearing through the Harry Potter series. Emma has mastered addition and subtraction, reads like it's her job, and I've never seen a kid get more hugs at pick up than her. She's definitely our social butterfly. Norah is writing her name well, (plus Grace and Emma's), has stopped sucking her thumb, and has learned to recite so many prayers, poems, and songs. She has made some great friends, and has a love of imaginative play, construction, and coloring.
These 2 finished up on Wednesday with a half day which included Mass, awards, and a slide show. As I was surrounded by some friends with 5th graders, it was hard to watch them sobbing as their time at St. Matthew comes to a close. It was an incredible year and the girls finished the year out strong. Emma won an award for perfect attendance for the second year in a row, so she was more than thrilled to get called up for that given the illness that closed the school down this year!

Miss Mooch finished up on Thursday. It was hard for me to let go of this year with her. Whether it is the incredible teachers she had this year, the extreme amount of growth she has had, or just the fact that she's the baby, I'm not ready for her to go to preschool. She has all the sass in the world and will do just fine, but I'd like to hang on to my baby just a bit longer.
