Live your Dash

So...I'm a bit behind on my blog again. It's hard to keep up with the 3 stooges lately, so unnecessary things like blogging aren't high on the priority list. However, we are having a great summer, enjoying every moment, and making sure we make lots of great memories together. Which brings me to one of the books I read this summer. Live you Dash by Linda Ellis was a great reminder of why I'm not blogging much. Instead I am making memories with my kids...what better way is there to 'live your dash' than that?! Here are a few quotes I really enjoyed from this book since I'm too lazy for a proper book review!
"Admitting you’re overwhelmed and need assistance is not a weakness." Sums up my life.
"When life’s journey presents detour and routes change with every mile, remember a road that has no obstacles leads nowhere worthwhile." Hello, July. With your never ending surprises.
"The truth is, we see in life what we want to see. If you search for ugliness you’ll find plenty of it. If you want to find fault with other people, your career, or the world in general, you’ll certainly be able to do so. But the opposite is also true. If you look for the extraordinary in the ordinary, you can train yourself to see it." Perfect quote for heading back to school.
"I’ve learned to differentiate each moment from each minute; a minute is but a measure of time, but a moment is what’s in it." The quote I've been starting each summer day with.
"Peace: It does not mean to be in a place where there is noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart." The decibel level of our house while I type this is through the roof...channeling my inner peace.  :)
