We celebrated Thanksgiving this year with Marks family in Illinois. It was a quick trip over to spend the day with the aunts and catch up over some delicious food. There is never a shortage of food in an Italian family, that's for sure. We were also lucky enough that since we missed out on celebrating with my family on Thursday, my mom "moved" Thanksgiving day to Saturday...how awesome is that?! So thankful that we are surrounded by family who is willing to be flexible to remind us that we truly are blessed with best.
Breaking out the wine early to celebrate with my favorites.
Much to some disliking, we played "Beanboozled." Although any game that has a "spit bucket" involved is bound to be a challenge, it was fun to be able to play a game that was fitting for all ages. Emma struggled to get down "canned dog food" but it may have been more of a challenge for Jenisa to have to sit next to her and smell it!
By the looks on everyone's faces, I'm going to call this game a hit. Grace may have gotten the worse pick with "skunk spray." No one around her could even stomach sitting next to her the way it smelled. She was a champ!
Sunday we headed to the family "Christmas." With such a large family we have to rent a facility each year, but it's a great time to catch up with everyone in the family. We had to head out a bit early for my nieces birthday party, but we stayed long enough for introductions (I know, there's that many of us) and some yummy food.
