Week 5

Sunday our "SledFest" for St. Matthew was a hit. With near 50 degree temps we were thankful that almost 20 families still showed up. Not bad for our first year!

Monday was busy getting back into the swing of things. Grace lost her first molar and was ecstatic when the Tooth Fairy left her a $1 coin. Thankful the magic of the Tooth Fairy lives on.
Tuesday we got our first snow day! It was much needed. We spent our ground hogs day eating yummy 'groundhog' pancakes, playing games, making Valentines, and catching up on things. Nothing better than a day that is so much fun you don't notice until it's over how PRODUCTIVE it was!
Norah's Valentines were my favorite...with little shovels and skittles they say "I dig you Valentine." Emma of course chose little mazes and made Valentines that said, "You aMAZE me!" Grace made "You Rule!" Valentines with little rulers in them. Love fun projects with the girls.
All week we've been celebrating CSW! With lunch dates with Grandma Deb, mom, and dad, the girls got pretty spoiled. They loved the dress up days and all the special treats! Of course, pajama day was a favorite.
Friday was my day for a lunch date. Just one more reason I love teaching where I do. When I asked my principal to leave over lunch, he personally offered to teach my next class so that I didn't have rush back. Not necessary, but very much appreciated!

Saturday morning we spent cheering Emma on at her BB game. The Jr. Jaguars are having such a great season, and once again, Emma had a great game.
After a quick lunch, we packed up and headed to IC. I got dropped off to meet baby Ira and take a few newborn baby photos (so precious) and Mark headed to my sisters to drop the girls off for a sleepover. Unfortunately, Norah had different plans as she got sick on the car ride down. Change of plans...we headed home. Luckily, Marks' parents were so gracious and offered to come watch the girls so we could still go to Mardi Gras.
Mardi Gras was wonderful. We scored some awesome buys for the girls and had a wonderful night with friends. We left the evening feeling so completely blessed that we are part of such an awesome community.
