Milestones? PCC week, we made it!
This is the week I have been secretly trying to make it to. We had our PCC scheduled for Monday 9/19 to set up a plan for how to move forward if Will was to hang with us this far. Our boy's a fighter...we made it! We started at 8AM with an ultrasound. We were hoping to see his face again since we haven't seen it in so long, just to be able to give the girls an idea of what he might look like when he's born. We've tried to be very open and honest with them as to what to expect of Will so that they are not scared or surprised when/if they get to meet him. They know he may not survive the labor, especially given that he is still breech. They know that if he survives the birth, he may not survive for long after so we will pull them from school as soon as he's born so they have a chance to meet him. The only thing we have kept from them are the potential risks to my health as we don't want to scare them unnecessarily.
With my fluid levels getting low, they provided us an opportunity to record his heart beat in case our fears become reality and it's the last time we get to hear it. They gave us a little build-a-bear recorder so that if something should happen we would be able to put his heartbeat into a bear for the girls. It was tremendously comforting, yet scary at the same time. We set an induction date, Oct 4, 7AM to meet our little boy.
