What a team!

After lots of preliminary appointments and some interesting conversations in the waiting rooms, we headed into the conference room for our PCC today. We met with Dr. Santillian (high risk OB), Dr. Sheng (OB), Dr. Dagle (Neonatology), Dr. Reinking (Cardiology), Dr. Mancuso (genetics), and the palliative care team to set up a plan of attack and make sure everyone was on the same page. We decided an induction would be best so that they would all be on staff that day to prepare for Will's arrival. October 4th is the big day.
This amazing team and their staff are ready to welcome our baby boy into the world! Smiles all around, we tried to keep the mood light. As hard as it is on us to face what might come, the moment we walked in the room we could sense how much they were all dreading this meeting as well. We wanted them to know how thankful we are that they are fighting for our sweet Will and how grateful we are that they call him by name and give him the dignity that we have been trying so hard to protect. There is no doubt, they love our boy as much as we do.
