These two...they're like PB&J.
On our drive down to meet Hazel, Emma was quite sure that we would not be bringing home a dog. She was certain that if we got another dog, Daisy would be heart broken at the fact that we had replaced her. However, once she met Hazel and her siblings, the very next words out of her mouth were, "you brought the check book, right?!" Oh, how I love this girl.
We have had Hazel for 6 weeks now and she has a unique bond with each of the girls, but it still makes my heart melt watching Emma and Hazel play. We constantly have to remind her that she is too big to carry like a baby and that she cannot be raised to think she is a lap dog! :)
I figured by now the novelty of a new puppy would wear off, but I have yet to do much for Hazel. She is one spoiled puppy getting 4 walks a day (the girls love walking her), playing lots of fetch and getting more treats than any one dog deserves. The girls are even great at giving her baths, brushing her, and training her. Though some days we have a few too many "cooks in the kitchen" and Hazel gets a bit confused, they have done such a great job at helping raise an obedient puppy.
There is nothing softer than our freshly-bathed Hazelnut.
