Meet Roscoe

Happy 8 week birthday, Will!

Stats:
6 lbs. 5 oz
19.5 in.

Will's 8 week birthday started out a bit rough with wheezing, gasping, and a few doses of morphine, so after his nurse stopped by, dropped off his nebulizer and completed his check up, we settled in for a quiet, snugly afternoon together. His input and output are still going strong, so we're hopeful with a few nebulizer treatments it will take care of whatever kind of junk he is fighting and he'll be feeling better soon. In the meantime, we are becoming good friends with our new green friend, Roscoe.

Meet Roscoe. This cute little frog is hopefully going to start making Will's days and nights just a bit more comfortable. Will spent most of his day today sleeping, snuggled in my arms.  I'm pretty confident our smart little guy has figured out how to best save his energy, yet still get the calories he needs by skipping meals and doubling up at the next one. He's craving warm snuggles and refuses to be put down and considering the fact that we are trying to save as much energy as possible, we're happy to oblige.

Even the tiniest of masks span from his nose down to his chest. Just when we thought he was getting huge, we are reminded what a tiny little guy he is. On a positive note though, he has outgrown one of his preemie sleepers already. We were pretty impressed with his stats at his last appointment, growing a whole inch this week! Happy 8 weeks, Will! Here's to hoping week 9 brings a happier, healthier Will.
