MLK day

The girls found themselves with a 4-day weekend having Monday and Tuesday off of school for MLK day, so immediately they set to work with what kind of fun they could fill the days with. Sunday night Emma headed to a sleepover with a few of her friends and Grace had a big day of skiing planned with about 50 of her school-mates. Since the weather brought the ice, I was happy to get the day off work on Monday (inservice day - canceled) and hang with my favorite 5 year old while her big sisters braved the ice and snow. Since CR was basically a skating rink, the ski trip was canceled, so a few friends decided to go ice skating to commemorate their ice day.
Grace was bummed to not ski as she really wanted to try it, but ice skating was a real treat too, so she was really excited that the ice didn't keep her from hanging with her friends.

Showing off their skills.
