Christmas Eve Morning

Luckily, Santa knows we travel for Christmas so he stops off a day early so we can open gifts Christmas eve morning. The girls woke up and came running into our bed to wake us up to get an early start on the day. Knowing that we didn't have to be anywhere until 3pm and we were already packed made for a very relaxing day.
Hmmm...I wonder if Santa came?! Santa doesn't wrap gifts (poor guy has to come a day early so he's pressed for time) so it is always fun to see the girls run down the hallway to the fireplace to see if the stocking have been filled and what presents Santa has left behind. He fills the stockings with goodies like...new toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, loofas, lotions, nail polishes, etc. But this year, he snuck in some really cool watches that the girls wanted. He also left each girl a steering wheel for the Wii and Mario Kart! After playing it a few weeks ago, they were more than excited to see this awesome gift awaiting them.

In addition to Santa, we give the girls a -want, read, wear, need- to keep Christmas simple. The girls are catching on to the fact that it is way more fun to give a present then to receive a present, so we take them shopping to pick out presents for their sisters. Emma knows her sister well and got her a cool little wallet with her initial on it.

Grace knew that Norah wanted a spinning toothbrush just like hers, so she made an excellent selection of a minion toothbrush and toothpaste. Norah was giddy at the fact that she would now be like the big girls when brushing her teeth.

Norah chose coloring books for the big girls...the adult version, I'm jealous...and also insisted on wrapping her gifts all by herself this year. She took so much care in making them just right.

Emma has talked about "Fastrack" since she played last summer. - I think she was excited to finally get to play it again! She beat the pants off of all of us.

GoldieBlox were my favorite gift again this year. Goldie has great adventures around our house, so we were excited to add her sidekick Ruby to the mix. You'll find Goldie Zip-lining room-to-room and Ruby riding her cable car. These great "girl" toys are all about engineering, problem solving and building fun.
