Week 2

Here's a recap of week 2 (Jan 10-16):

Another crazy, fun-filled week. It's hard to believe but we headed to Kindergarten Round-Up this week! To say that Norah is excited to be in the 'big school' with her sisters is an understatement. She loves preschool, but loves a good challenge. Next year will be interesting with just one Kindergarten class, so I am anxious to see who her teacher will be. Usually by the 3rd kid, you know what to expect, but with grade sharing next year, I feel like a new parent sending my first kid off to kindergarten again.

Thursday we had Planet X night for school and the girls had a blast getting their caricatures done, faces painted, and balloon animals! With dinner included, it was a nice night to sit back and relax and catch up with other parents.

Friday Grace had ball, so Emma and I spent another date night at the grocery store, and again shopping for a bday gift for a friend. That girls social calendar is full. Norah also had her 3rd dance recital Friday! She did a wonderful job dancing, and though she still gets pretty nervous on stage, it was a huge improvement from her first recital. She loves dance class, but doesn't dig the performances.  Of course, she had to wear her tutu and sparkle shoes!

Saturday Emma headed to a party for her friend Anna at the nail salon. After a pampering afternoon getting her toes and nails done, she felt like quite the princess. We also headed to IC to celebrate Marks brother. With a yummy birthday celebration at the Vine we ate way too much and the girls had a great time playing with their cousin. Since grandma and grandpa were in town we were also lucky enough to sneak away for a few hours to go to a fundraiser for my school, Dancing with the Saints! The dancers were incredible and it so awesome to be a part of a community that really values Catholic education. They raised double what they were expecting and we had a blast hanging out with friends and co-workers. I didn't get a picture of my stunning date...he was too busy working the room! :)

Time to start prepping for next week. Meal prep: Italian chicken, Enchiladas, Meatloaf, Spaghetti.
