Freedom!!

With our new-found freedom we were excited at the possibilities that week 3 might bring. We have experienced the sunshine together and a few quick trips outside, so we decided it was time to show Will some of our family favorites this week. The girls put together a list of all the things that Will needs to experience in order to be a true "Richmond," so this week... a blog post of a few of our favorites as a family.

Reading books each night as a family is a must. The girls spent the week introducing him to all of their favorite books and authors. "The Kissing Hand," "Good Night Moon," "Knuffle Bunny," we pulled out all the favorites this week.

As an addendum to our reading, Norah reads this book to Will each day as a small reminder of who the new big sister is. She doesn't want him to forget her important new role.

We love soccer and spend our weekends in the fall at the soccer fields. With Will's approval to get out, we decided to make a quick trip to Tuma so he could experience the action. The girls games this week were all on fields that bordered the parking lot, so we cheered Grace and Emma on from the comfort of the car with a bottle, but we busted out for a few minutes of fresh air and sunshine to watch Norah's game since we didn't have a very good view from the parking lot. The girls played their hearts out for Will and the weather was so beautiful.

Will also got to experience Mass this week. Lucky for him, some familiar voices were singing out from the choir loft this week, so not only did he take in the blessings from Mass, he also got to hear his sisters sing. He let out a few little squawks to join the choir as well.

Emma was certain that Will needed to learn the family handshake. He's definitely got the fist bump down.

Sunday we took a big adventure to the farm so Will could see one of our favorite places to visit. Since Mitch had his drone with him, we even convinced grandpa to stop combining long enough to snap a few family pictures.
All 8 grandkids together! The girls all got to ride in the combine, but Will had to sit this one out. Though he is approved to be outside in short bursts, it's just a little too much dust for this year...hopefully next year he can ride! :)

Tuesday we celebrated Will's 3 week birthday with a party! He invited his friend Wylie (and one of my best friends from high school) over to play. You wouldn't know by looking at them that they are the same age! :) It was such a fun day, and an amazing week getting to show Will a few of the things that we like to do when we can get out of the house. Prayers for many more adventures ahead!
