Gingerbread village

Each year when Santa visits our house instead of the normal "milk and cookies" he is greeted with gingerbread and milk for his snacking pleasure. The girls love our yearly tradition of building a gingerbread house so this year we decided to step it up a notch and decorate a whole gingerbread village. With 5 little houses it was fun to turn the girls loose and design our own houses and then bring them together for a cute village in the end.

Grace loved having decorative control over her house.  However, we should have left a note for Santa to not snack on hers because she definitely enjoyed taste testing while she decorated.

Norah's design favored the sprinkles. With a flat roof, she was able load up on her sugar-shack which probably sent the big guy in red into a diabetic coma.

Emma's eye for design created my favorite of the gingerbread houses.  I especially loved her icicles hanging from the roof!

Finishing touches on our village!
